The Laban Presbyterian Higher Secondary School,Shillong is a Co-Education institution. It is one of the premier educational institutions of the State of Meghalaya and has been imparting Primary and Secondary Education for a period of about 114 years.

The Laban Presbyterian Higher Secondary School is said to have started between 1897 and 1890. In 1897 the school had to be reconstructed due to massive earthquake. The Middle English School started in the year 1950 under the leadership of Sir. Lonelton as the Head. In 1950 the Lower Primary School introduced the Class IV Section. Laban Presbyterian Higher Secondary School is one of the oldest schools in Shillong, Meghalaya and the school has been able to serve and impart knowledge to students of Shillong and the sub-urban areas. The school aims to make education available and accessible to all sections of the society at affordable costs, thus ensuring that education is made available to all.

The major objective of the school is to impart knowledge to the learners. However, while educating young minds we make sure to educate their hearts as well.
